Go Asia, a tourism marketing network comprising tour operators and airlines in Germany, has voted Malaysia the second best destination in Asia. In addition, travel publishers, Lonely Planet puts Malaysia in the top 10 destinations in the world.

With the global economy picking up, Tourism Malaysia has increased its overall tourist arrival projection from 23.6 million to 24 million in 2010. At the recent Berlin Tourism Fair, Tourism Malaysia was aggressively courting European - and in particular - German tourists, whose number rose by 15 percent last year to 128, 2228 tourists.

Tourism Malaysia says it will promote luxury tours, cruise tourism and Malaysia My Second Home Tourism in Germany and other European Markets.
